Bangalore based education technology startup CarveNiche secured seed funding of INR 1 crore from Mumbai Angels.
Started in May 2010 by two women entrepreneurs, CarveNiche is today 32 people strong.
Currently, CarveNiche offers their e-learning services, delivered over the cloud, to 11 schools and plans to add 50 schools by the end of 2012.
The investment shall be used for expanding their sales team.
Both the co-founders, Avneet Makkar & Saraswathy A , come with 15 years of IT experience at Infosys.
Speaking about the challenges in this space, Avneet said, “Sales cycles are typically very long. But, once the schools come on-board, they stick around.”
