Beam is a mobile payment system that allows its customers to transact at anytime from anywhere with anyone. Beam is an attempt to convert the mobile phone into a wallet. Beam Money is authorized by RBI and its services include telecom/DTH recharges, utility bill payments, travel bookings, e-commerce shopping, domestic money transfers, cinema bookings and much more.
In an announcement today, Beam has launched Cash-on-Delivery (COD) service for purchasing Beam Mobile Money. This facility will enable customers to receive Beam Money at their doorsteps giving them the convenience to pay for anything, anytime, anywhere using their mobile on the go.
“COD service has been introduced to deliver convenience right to our customers’ doorstep. COD will add a new stream of offline customers particularly the ones who either do not have credit/debit cards or internet banking or are reluctant using the same online. This will also give Beamers an option to gift Beam Money to others. Furthermore, as most of customers generally spend freely on gifting and new household items but do not find time for mundane tasks like utility bill payments, telecom, DTH recharge etc. Beam with its pan India network and COD service makes such chores easier.” said Mr. Anand Shrivastav, CMD, Beam.
This service is currently available for all customers in most of the major town across India e.g. Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Vishakhapatnam with more cities being added rapidly.
