Jotpur is trying to solve the problem of finding reliable leads via social networks
Possibillion Technologies is a two-year-old technology company, based out of Hyderabad, India. The company, headed by Ayyappa Nagubandi and a bunch of people whom he claims, “don’t mind the number of hours they work”. They have recently launched a product called Jotpur, to help businesses get sales leads with a higher probability of conversion.
Founder, Ayyappa, says, “Lead generation is the greatest hurdle faced by any company. Finding people who are interested in your product and zeroing in on those who will actually buy is a Herculean task. With Jotpur, we aim to make it easy for them. The leads that a business gets from Jotpur are only those who are genuinely interested in the business’ product and who will buy.”
How it works
When a business owner or a company registers on Jotpur, they are asked to select words/phrases that their potential customers might mention in conversations in Facebook and Twitter. Ayyappa illustrated with an example, “if I mention that I am planning to drive down to Chicago from New York, then I am a lead for gas stations, for supermarkets (I’ll need supplies), for gift shops (in case am planning to visit someone there), car service stations, etc. So, as a business owner, I’ll have to type in such words/phrases.”Once they have done that, they’ll have to select a city of their choice (they get to choose any location for a certain keyword) to refine the search. Then, Jotpur does the searching and the results will be displayed in real time on their computer screens.
The leads can be contacted by the business owner individually, by sending them messages directly from the site – “Jotpur can be used by absolutely anyone as long as they own a business. It could be a bakery, a designer boutique, a hardware tore, a famous coffee house chain – you name it!” Ayyappa added.
On pricing and the quality of leads
Jotopur is priced per lead. Ayyappa says, “ We have both monthly subscriptions and a pay – as – you – go option, and users can choose either. New users get either a 5 day free trial or 25 free leads, depending on the kind of pricing they choose. Monthly subscribers get a 5-day free trial, while those opting for pay as you go get 25 free leads.”
Ayyappa believes that the way in which Jotpur works ensures that the leads generated are very significant. He says, “Users will get those leads whose conversations have the words/phrases specified by the user and those which show a genuine intention of purchasing.” He also shared that Jotpur does not display advertisements as leads – “We are strictly against spam and filter all such junk out,” Ayyappa quips.
On a concluding note, Ayyappa was all praise for his team. He says, “We have a small but dedicated team that worked at the weirdest hours to make Jotpur possible. I have brilliant team mates. Not once did any of them complain of being too tired or overworked. We all had one dream – to see Jotpur out there – and we put in all we had into it.”
