Fortune Institute of International Business celebrates its Founder’s Day every year on the 21st of February in honor of Late R. K. Shrivastava. It is one of the select business management institutions across the country that spotlights Sustainability as one key pillar of its core activities and education strategies. The Institute has a dedicated center of excellence for research and practice in this field, known as the Sustainability Development Center (SDC).

Need for Sustainability

As an integral part of its mission statement, FIIB has always endeavored to integrate sustainability into its daily administrative undertakings, academic inputs and other activities over the past few years. This Summit is one milestone to reinforce the Institute’s efforts in propagating sustainability in the education sector by creating a conducive eco-system whereby it becomes a part of its DNA.The objective of the Summit is to bring together the worlds of academia, social and corporate sectors together to deliberate upon a few very contemporary and critical issues.

About Sustainability Summit 2014

FIB is ready to host the 4th edition of the Sustainability Summit this year. In the past noted Speakers including Ms. Anita M George (Regional Industry Director, Asia Infrastructure and Natural Resources at the International Finance Corporation, IFC), Dr. Annapurna Vancheswaran (Director-Sustainable Development Outreach at The Energy and Resources Institute, TERI, New Delhi), Padma Bhushan Mr. Devendra Raj Mehta (Founder and Chief Patron, Jaipurfoot), Dr. Ashok Khosla (Chairman –Development Alternatives), Mr. Mehmood Khan (Former Chief Innovation Officer – Unilever), Mr. Anshu Gupta (Founder, Goonj), Mr. Nitin Gupta (Founder and CEO – Atterro Recycling) have spoken at the summit.

The highlights of this year’s Summit includes panel discussions with leaders from several reputed companies of the world who will speak about the challenges they face and solutions they propose for implementing sustainability throughout their organizations. Dr. Prodipto Ghosh, Keynote Speaker of the Summit: Mr. Ghosh is a distinguished fellow and Director at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). He is also a Member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change.
