Bitcoins

Ever since its inception, Bitcoin has been a hot topic of debate. Some argue that cryptocurrency is the future of global trade, while others refuse to accept it as legitimate tender. But no matter what your opinion is on virtual currency, there’s still a lot that you should know about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, especially if you’re a startup.“We feel that every startup in our accelerator needs to understand Bitcoin,” says Steve Hoffman, the cofounder of Founders Space. “It’s no longer an option to sit on the sidelines and wait to see what happens.”

The Internet is certainly a great resource for learning about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but there are also some great events being organized that are bringing together industry thought leaders and top Bitcoin researchers to explore and discuss online currencies. One of the most popular Bitcoin events is being hosted by FoundersSpace and is set to take place in Palo Alto, California on May 6th. The event will bring together virtual currency experts Ryan Breslow, Jake Zeller and Adam Draper to talk about all things Bitcoin and what startups should know about virtual currency.

Ryan Breslow is a Bitcoin researcher at Stanford. Jake Zeller is a Bitcoin entrepreneur and investor in Buttercoin. Adam Draper is an Angel Investor, the son of Tim Draper, and an early investor in Coinbase, the leading Bitcoin digital wallet.

During their presentations, each speaker will dive deep into virtual currencies and take an analytical look at what they are, how they work, and how they will integrate into the global economy in the future. More specifically, the panel will look at Bitcoin as it pertains to startups, answering questions about how startups can profit from the “Bitcoin revolution,” which Bitcoin wallets to trust, the risks associated, and who the major players are in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

If your startup is looking to adopt the use of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency in the future, this FoundersSpace event is a must. Not only will it provide you with an in-depth look at the important aspects of virtual currency, but it will also allow you to receive one on one advice and insights from top virtual currency experts.
