Haptik is a messaging application that can be used to chat with brands to get support. One of YourStory’s MobileSparks, Haptik is a Mumbai based company and launched publicly on March 31st. The company has been founded by Aakrit Vaish and Swapan Rajdev and aims to solve the problem of customer support via messaging. The company banks on two big trends- the rise of messaging and the asynchronous nature of messaging that favours something like support.
10 days since launch, Aakrit says, “The last 10 days have been an insane ride for us, the response was overwhelming to the extent that everyone in the company (including me) has been responding to users chats!” They have come up with a 10 day scorecard revealing some of the data from Haptik usage. More than 28,000 messages were exchanged and the Telecom was the largest sector with 7.9% of the queries for Vodafone and 7.8% for Airtel. Here is the infographic:
