Shieldsquare emerges Start Tel Aviv’s winner from India, to compete with global peers in Israel

The Embassy of Israel in partnership with TIE Delhi-NCR organized the Start Tel Aviv India finals to find the Indian entry for the Start Tel Aviv event in Israel in September this year. The event received more than 70 entries from all over India.

The final five startups presenting at the Delhi finals included App Virality, Shield Square, Adom Technologies, Vidgyor Media Technologies, and LinkSmart Technologies. Bangalore-based Shieldsquare emerged as the winner.

Shieldsquare helps online businesses to protect against web scraping and bot attacks, thus increasing revenues and improving site performance.

Shieldsquare will travel to Tel Aviv in September to participate in ‘Start Tel Aviv’ event during the DLD Festival week, and will have the opportunity to meet the smartest and the most innovative companies, techies, startups, designers, artists, scientists, investors, and cultural drivers from Israel and abroad.

The jury comprised of Jaspreet Bindra, CEO, Getit.com; Dev Khare, venture investor at Lightspeed Ventures; and Kunal Bajaj, serial entrepreneur and tech evangelist.

A quick look at presenting startups

Hyderabad-based App Virality offers growth hacking tools meant for app developers and has so far generated more than 250 beta signups. Adom is a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) company and leverages technology to improve security of e-commerce companies using GPS and real-time tracking solution.

Vidgyor enables broadcasters and content distributors monetize live TV streams by inserting targeted mid-roll ads on any internet connected device. The startup was also a part of 5th batch of TLabs.

LinkSmart helps increase website traffic and monetize your website using audience development tools through in-text links across a network of web publishers.

Start Tel Aviv is a global event held by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tel Aviv Global that brings together startups from 18 different countries to take part in an intense, five-day startup experience in Tel Aviv’s unrivaled startup ecosystem.
