The subject of the email does have a direct co-relation with the content. The Dalal Street in Mumbai was converted into Startup Street last week as TechSparks hit the venue. It was an event full of energy and one of the important dicoveres at the event was Zone Startups accelerator which operates from the 18th floor of BSE and has a portfolio of 337 companies since it started in February 2014. For this newsletter, we have chosen a couple of startups from Zone Startups and one from the TechBazaar (a feature of the TechSparks event):
1. Pykih Pykih is a data visualisation company that was founded in September 2013 by Ritvvij Parrikh. 3. LogiNext (read their story)
eCommerce is booming in India and alongside, the enablers will also receive a boost. Innovation in logistics is one of the biggest area to focus on to improve efficiency and this is where Loginext is trying to step in. LogiNext brings real time tracking and high tech data visualization for the logistics industry. Their aim is to help logistics companies improve their day-to-day operations, provide superior customer service and optimize their delivery networks.
Track-A-Pack is a hardware device that helps companies analyse their delivery network with real-time tracking of packages. It collects location information from the packages using GPS technology. This data is then analysed using an analytics software and is represented in an easily consumable visual format. One of the co-founders has deep roots in the logistics industry and this will help this Carnegie Mellon alumni team to make some headway and get early customers. They have five clients as of now and the company will be sharing the results once they have a reliable data set to derive inferences from.
