Rochem acquires Nagpur-based Reva Enviro

Mumbai-based Rochem Separation Systems (I) Pvt Ltd (RSSIPL) through
its group company Concord Enviro Systems Pvt Ltd (CESPL) has acquired
100% equity of Nagpur-based Reva Enviro Systems Private Limited
(RESPL). The latter is a provider of comprehensive environmental
engineering solutions by providing systems that help treat industrial
and municipal effluent to extract energy rich gas. Among leading
mid-market investment banking firms in India o3 Capital was the
advisor to this deal.
Commenting on the acquisition of Reva Enviro, Prayas Goel, director,
Rochem Separation Systems, said, "Reva Enviro has developed efficient
designs for anaerobic and aerobic digestors and Rochem has cutting
edge membrane technology. The two can be synergised to develop product
offerings that could be path-breaking in segments such as sewage
treatment. We expect to grow Reva Enviro’s business internationally by
leveraging our well-established sales and support team in
international markets."
Reva's key areas of operations include sewage treatment systems, water
treatment for extraction of energy rich gas in industrial units,
design of water supply and distribution systems. Apart from India,
Reva has executed projects in Turkey, Tanzania and Nigeria in the
past. Pursuing an active growth strategy the acquisition of Reva
Enviro, according to Goel, is very much part of it.
Rochem along with its group companies has been involved in the
business of development, manufacturing and installation of waste water
treatment and reuse systems for more than 15 years. It has installed
over 350 waste water treatment and recycle plants in India, Vietnam,
Jordon, Philippines, Italy, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Sri
Lanka based on its patented membrane based separation technology. Its
key customer segments includes the defence forces – the army, navy and
the coast guards to which it provides on-board and off shore
desalination solutions and concentrated effluent generating industries
such as distilleries, tanneries, pharmaceuticals, textiles, chemicals,
pulp and paper industry to which it provides effluent treatment and
recycle solution.
Over the last five years, RSSIPL has developed unique membrane
products through its own research and development and has patented
membrane applications which promise to be key revenue drivers in the
years to come. It has successfully targeted newer industry segments by
offering products developed through its in-house research and
development initiative. Among its clientele include names like the AB
Mauri, Biocon, Cipla, Indian Navy, Jose Cuervo (Mexico), Jubilant
Organsys, Lesaffre, Lupin, Morarjee Mills, ONGC, Radico, Raymonds, Sri
Lankan Navy, United Breweries.
