Entrepreneurship programmes on TV channel soon

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ (MSME) Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry field office may start entrepreneurship programmes on TV channels soon MSME is in talks with a couple of private television channels to telecast programmes for developing entrepreneurship.

 


As per Director of MSME Development Institute that the television channels had evinced interest in telecasting the programme in the prime time. A decision will be taken soon and the telecast will commence from August 15. The weekly programme will initially run for six months. The institute has produced 26 episodes covering 20 subjects including project work, incentives and opportunities available for MSMEs. It is estimated that about five lakh entrepreneurs in the organised MSME segments and twice that number in the unorganised segments are in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Apart from this, it is also setting up credit and export counselling cells in Chennai and few places in the State and Pondicherry.
