Entertainment is a stress buster for all the classes of society. This stuck a chord for the duo Kumar and Vishnu who stated venturing into the business of entertainment. Acting was a hobby for both. With this in mind the team setup to host stage shows of quality entertainment. All of 25, they had saved up a lakh rupees each as seed capital for their company. In 2005, they approached the organizers of Chennai’s premier theatre event-Metro Plus Theatre Fest--and since then have been managing it. The team has 30 members, eight of whom are full-time employees and do all kinds of work from production to marketing and HR.
FUTURE AHEAD : From zero seed capital five years ago, they are targeting a turnover of Rs4.5 Cr. next fiscal. The major chunk of the revenue comes from ticket sales. The next 50% comes from its ‘Happy Factory’, 20% comes from corporate workshops (which is mostly self discovery and de-stressing exercises through plays) and around 30% is funded by the play sponsors.
