Udit Mehrotra, Director, Ubico Networks got the Young Innovative Telecom Entrepreneur Award at the National Telecom Awards 2009.
The Awards were given away by Shri Gurudas Kamat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications & IT at the INFOCOM CMAI National Telecom Awards 2009 function in New Delhi. Organised by Communications & Manufacturing Association of India (CMAI) and Infocom. National Telecom Awards is a major telecom event in India, and has the support of apex telecom, ICT hardware, internet and operators’ associations in India and international associations.
Sify Technologies Limited, a leader in enterprise data telecom services and consumer Internet with global delivery capabilities, won the award for the 'Best Telecom Data Center, for its next-generation data center at Airoli, Mumbai.Aircel Ltd. won the award for the Excellence in Marketing of New Telecom Service. MTS, the mobile telephony brand of Sistema-Shyam Teleservices (SSTL), won the award for the being the most successful new telecom operator in India.
