eDC hosts the likes of Vinod Dham and Sanjeev Bhikchandani

Beginning with Tarun Tejpal in August, CEO of Tehelka Magazine and rated among top 50 entrepreneurs of Asia, Entrepreneurship Development Cell (eDc) at IIT-Delhi has been witnessing flourish with its Lemon and Black Series of speakers. Motivation behind seminars is boosting entrepreneurial abilities among students and promoting spirit of liberty in them.
After the huge success of Mr. Tejpal’s to discuss social challenges and responsibilities, a Lemon Series event invited CEO-iDiscoveri, Ashish Rajpal to speak on boosting Indian knowledge sector via entrepreneurship again standing up to expectations. But Black Series is set to get bigger than ever with the arrival of Sanjeev Bikhchandani- founder of Naukri.com on 11thSeptember, preceded by Vinod Dham on 5th September.
The name Vinod Dham needs no introduction, being known as the ‘Father of Pentium Processor’. Born in 1950 in Pune, he has achieved much since his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering on 1971. In-charge of developing the 586 or Pentium Processor with Intel, his product became a big hit in the markets after his unremitting efforts. Climbing the corporate ladder to be Vice President of Intel’s Microprocessor Products Group, he quit in 1995 for a start-up firm, NexGen where he was Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President until 1996, when Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) acquired it.
His stint with AMD involved developing the famous world’s fastest personal computer microprocessor- K6, after which he quit.
In his visit to IIT-Delhi, he shall speak of his life journey and venture capitalism enlightening students about career opportunities and standing up to challenges posed. Sanjeev Bikchandani in his following seminar shall help glorify the fervor infused by Dham’s rhetoric.
EDC has walked its initial steps successfully and it will be interesting to follow their trajectory in accomplishing their aim of generating entrepreneurs from the research hub of India.
