National Conference & Expo on MSME to be held on Feb 12

The 3rd edition of National Conference & Expo - MSME Linkages 2010 organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad on February 12. The theme of event is ‘making SMEs globally competitive.’ Chief Minister of Gujarat, Narendra Modi and Secretary, Ministry for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Dinesh Rai will be the Chief Guests on the occassion.
MSME Linkages 2010 is an attempt to bring in emerging opportunities challenging this segment in implementing in new policies, new presence and increased vendor expectations and also focus on the journey from small to large. There will also be sessions on Marketing & Brand Building, Exports and International Trade, Banking and financial options, Technology & Manufacturing Competitiveness, Policy Issues and SME Support Programmes. The event will provide a single platform for Policy makers, Bureaucrats, Industry captains across the nation to exchange views and knowledge. Decision Makers and Technical Managers from SMEs, who are capable of conducting negotiations with sourcing heads of large organisations, will be benefited from the event. The event would have specific focus on the following sectors: Light & Heavy Engineering, Infrastructure, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Auto, Textiles, Glass & Ceramics, Electricals & Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, Services, Banks & Financial Institutions amongst others. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a catalytic role in the development of any country. They are the engines of growth in developing and transition economies.
