PK Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University, Greater Noida, awarded Agra University Gaurav Shri Award 2010

The Alumni Association of Agra University felicitated Mr PK Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University and Chairman, Sharda Group of Educational Institutes with the prestigious Agra University Gaurav Shri Award 2010, in the entrepreneurship category, at a ceremonial function organised by the association.
Renowned actor and Member of Parliament from Ferozabad Mr. Raj Babbar presented the award to Mr Gupta. On the occasion Mr Babbar said, "Such recognition works as a great motivation for students of today to become achievers of tomorrow. It is also a unique and special way of the university connecting with its alumni. I am extremely pleased to be presenting the Agra University Gaurav Shri Award 2010 to such distinguished personalities, who have done the university proud with their achievements."
Upon receiving the award, Mr Gupta said, "Being recognised for one's work is always encouraging. The Agra University Gaurav Shri Award is special because it has been presented by my Alma mater and I am proud to be sharing the dais with illustrious alumni achievers."
Agra University (currently known as Dr B R Ambedkar University, Agra) was established in 1927. The Alumni Association of Agra University (established in November 2008) aims to reward those alumni from the university, who have emerged as most successful achievers in their respective fields. The Agra University Gaurav Shri Award 2010 was the first awards function by the association.This year the association has hounoured Dr Ashok Chakradhar, Vice President, Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, MHRD, Govt. of India in Literature; Pankaj Pachauri, Senior editor, NDTV in Media; Dr A K Balyan, Director HR, ONGC in PSU; Dr M K Gupta, IAS in civil service,; P K Gupta, Chancellor, Sharda University, Greater Noida in entrepreneurship; Dr Hari Gautam, Former Chairman, UGC & Vice Chancellor, BHU in Medical & Higher Education category.
