New Business Initiatives to Complement Red Fort's Established Real Estate Platform
PORT LOUIS, Mauritius, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Red Fort Capital, a private equity real estate firm focused on India, announced today that Raj S. Inamdar has joined the firm as Principal to help build its new business initiatives. At Red Fort, Mr. Inamdar will coordinate the firm's expansion in areas such as completed asset acquisitions, third-party asset management, side-car ventures and debt financing. These initiatives will complement Red Fort's existing investment platform focused on real estate development.

Prior to joining Red Fort, Mr. Inamdar executed over $2 billion in real estate transactions, developments, financings and restructurings in India and the United States. From 2007-2009 he was the Chief Investment Officer of the $400 million South Asian Real Estate Group. He is a Non-Executive Partner of Indra Capital Partners, which has structured a $300 million mixed-use urban project in Bangalore, India. From 2004-2007 Mr. Inamdar was a real estate development executive for Millennium Partners, a U.S.-based developer of mixed-use luxury properties under the brands "Four Seasons" and "Ritz Carlton". At Millennium, Mr. Inamdar conducted private equity and development activities for a closed-end vehicle with over $1 billion in assets and managed a $500 million portfolio of mixed-use urban properties. Mr. Inamdar has also held positions at Clark Enterprises, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Nutripeak. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an A.B. from Harvard College in Social Studies, from which he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.
