The first MakeSense Camp was held at Jaaga yesterday evening. The event saw social entrepreneurs and other players in the social business space interact with the team of MakeSense Christian Vanizette and Romain Raguin.
Christian and Romain explained their web application and their vision for MakeSense. They also had some really cool vidoes about their India tour. They got a lot of feedback from the audience.
MakeSense links people online thanks to a Web-Application (makesense.org) and offline through Social Innovation and Social Investment Challenges.
The web application uses the power of crowd-sourcing and provides a web 2.0 interface for social entrepreneurs to reach out to people. The beta version of the application will be launched soon.
The application will enable social entrepreneurs to post challenges/tasks related to their social enterprise for which they could use some help. The people in the community can choose to do any of the following:
- Help the social entrepreneur in this challenge
- Connect the social entrepreneur with a person who could help
- Share this challenge/task on their social media networks.
This is a great platform for people to collaborate and do their bit for a better world. This will provide social entrepreneurs a means of communicating with like minded people and peers. Through this application MakeSense hopes to build a community where people can come together to help social entrepreneurs.
