But a strong business model and self belief in materializing it into a successful reality has turned the fortunes of many entrepreneurs and Satyakalyan Yerramsetti, an entrepreneur with his venture SMSCountry is one among them.Satya _ as he is popularly known _ realized the potential of telecom when mixed with internet during his stint at Ekspertek Technologies where he managed the company’s Indian operations and was responsible for setting-up e-commerce facility for their calling cards business. The thought _ if consumers are buying voip on internet, they could do the same with mobile data available online _ was the turning point that led to the launch of SMSCountry which is today among the leaders in the Application 2 Mobile – Short Messaging Service (SMS) domain delivering SMS to about 550 networks in over 200+ countries.
A graduate of engineering who is also armed with an MBA degree from University of Western Sydney, Australia got Satya to swiftly establish himself as someone who has a clear dream of what he wishes to achieve for the country through this new technology. Though there are few other players operating in similar space, Satya’s vision enables this company of his to conquer greater heights.
Since 2003, Satya’s venture has come a long way to be among the top business models in its space and have also launched products like 160by2 which emerged flourishing in the free-SMS service space. Born in 1976, Satya has been a resident of Hyderabad through out. After returning from Australia, his passion for web based business made him to start A2Zexams, the first of its kind online examination portal.
A highly spiritual Satya loves nature and does yoga everyday to stay fit. He is a firm believer that India has the potential of becoming a super power and better education to all will take our country to greater heights.
