Tech Days is your window to future-defining technology and there is no one who better epitomizes this than the father of Java technology, Dr. James Gosling. Visionary thinker. Revolutionary programmer. Maverick developer. Dr. Gosling wears many hats – each as prestigious as the other.
After pursuing a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, Canada in 1977, he received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1983. His long list of achievements includes building satellite data acquisition systems, a multiprocessor version of Unix, several compilers, mail systems and window managers, a WYSIWYG text editor, a constraint-based d
rawing editor and a text editor called 'Emacs' for Unix® systems.
During his early days at Sun, as a lead engineer, Dr. Gosling created the NeWS window system. He did the original design of the Java programming language and implemented its original compiler and virtual machine.
And now, Dr. Gosling, along with other technology experts, will inspire you to develop your own skills and further your vision of tomorrow. Which is why, Tech Days 2010 is not just a developer conference, but THE place to be!
