Activist Circle is an open platform for young people interested in development sector to learn, discuss and be heard.So far we have completed two sessions of Activist Circle. The first one revolving around Social media tools for Social Activist with Gaurav Mishra (2020 Social), Parul (NGOPost) and Jasmine Shah (iJanaagraha).
The second session brought two different models of Microfinance on to the same platform. Ujjivan a for-profit social venture and RangDe a peer to peer micro lending platform discussed different issues ranging from explaining their models to sustainability.
Over the two editions we saw active participation in elevator pitch module - a 3-min open platform to pitch ideas. Sapling Project, The Alternative, Integrator, Inclusive Planet and Touching The Void are some of the ideas/startups which were presented.
Third Activist Circle session would revolve around a case study on usage of ICTs in rural India and life story of a change maker. This is an open event and anyone is welcome to attend.
The third session of Activist Circle Bengaluru is happening on 30th May, 2010.
