The objective of NASSCOM EMERGE 50 is to recognize, celebrate, mentor, and offer crucial growth assistance to the next batch of 50 emerging companies from India across all business sectors – IT, BPO/KPO, Products, Engineering Services, Animation, E-commerce, Web, and others. This initiative is aimed at showcasing the choicest 50 emerging companies that are redefining the benchmark for excellence to the next generation of SMEs. The focus will be on the companies that have established business models in emerging/domestic markets through which they have tapped their target market consistently well, which in turn has resulted in a faster financial growth of the company. The companies that have ticked the fastest rates of annual revenue growth will be paid special attention. Unlike previous editions, this edition has new categories for an inclusive view across the IT spectrum.
The NASSCOM EMERGE 50 awards highlight the brightest of the emerging companies and provide them visibility in the IT industry, which is certain to raise their profile in one of the rapidly growing sectors in India. The objective is to honour IT companies that have demonstrated successful implementation of the business model, consistent growth, and realization of robust profits in emerging/domestic markets. Companies are not only recognized for the financial prowess they enabled but also those that have come up with new ideas, products, processes, or technologies that enable businesses to achieve higher margins and thus reinvest profits back to growing the business.
Nominations are invited from the fast booting Indian IT companies, which feel that their work is worthy of recognition and are eager to share their learning with the world or who believe that their work is likely to create a noteworthy impact over time.
Companies can be nominated for innovation and extraordinary success in the categories of Growth, Markets (non-traditional/domestic), Products, and Services. This year the categories have been expanded to include EMERGE Partnerships (emerging companies partnering for technology, sub-contracting or business development purposes) and EMERGE Start-ups (products/services developed by a start-up which is less than 2 years old or which clocks less than INR 2 crore in annual revenues).
This year, Zinnov, a management consulting company, is partnering with NASSOM in this initiative.
After an initial review of the nominations, the shortlisted companies would be invited to give a presentation to the jury committee consisting of eminent people drawn from the industry. The jury members then would identify the winners based on the set of specific criteria for each category.
