Special screening of 5 Award winning short films by British Council
MovieMala invites young film enthusiasts to be a part of the Save Gaia; short film festival on Saturday, June 5, 2010 to mark the occasion of World Environment Day. The festival will be held from 9:30am to 4:30pm at the Maharashtra Nature Park - a location specifically selected for its ecological diversity.
The festival aims to bring to the fore critical environmental issues via short films. Save Gaia starts off with a short film competition where creative works expressing the environmental concerns of young film makers will be screened. The winners of this competition will be decided by the audience based on an interactive session with the film makers themselves.
The British Council then brings five award winning short films on climate change from the UK Environment Fellowships 2010 film makers to be screened at the Save Gaia festival. These films are produced by the British Council and British High Commission (BHC). Jitendra Adappa, maker of "Blocks of Green" will be there for a Q & A with the audience after the screening.
