NEN E Club Delhi, an organization of young and aspiring entrepreneurs, along with YES Bank is delighted to announce an exciting entrepreneurship session on Saturday, September25 at 10.30 am at the YES Bank premises, D- 12, South Extension Part II, New Delhi – 110049.

About the Program:

The program “Startup discussion – Managing the entrepreneurial challenge” showcases startups from Retail and the Travel & Tourism sectors. The foru...m facilitates a discussion engaging experts and the members of the audience on key issues that entrepreneurs are facing. The discussion aims to bring forth insights, potential approaches and solutions.

This program is more valuable if you participate in the discussion along with the showcasing startups and the experts. To facilitate that we have structured an interactive session and limited participation by invitation only. Invited participants include startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, experts and investors.

It emphasizes on a direct home based live retailing service, posing a direct interaction between the retail store owners and the consumers, and thence providing a viable solutions to meet the demands. The basic institutional target customers shall be working class individuals, and business organizations, ranging from small business setups to blue chip industries ,trying to save time and resources in getting their daily requirements met. The logistic division shall be liable for the transfers of small, non tangible goods

Bid2travel.com – CEO & MD, Prit Pal Singh Saini

While there are a growing number of online hotel booking sites that offer a multitude of accommodation available through the so called "Last Minute"sites, the relevance of these sites is diminishing. A survey by Bid2Travel.com shows that the "Last Minute deal" concept websites are losing ground as one can fetch better deals from the hotels directly. Bid2Travel.com combines all the features of the ‘last minute’ sites, enabling the customer to make a bid for up to three hotels for a particular night, 14 days prior to that night. Thus, Bid2travel.com makes the customer negotiate with the hotel directly for the best deal

He held various positions at senior levels in Sales and Marketing with industry majors like Hindustan Motors before moving to Travel Industry. In the travel industry he can be credited with being instrumental in the growth and expanded reach of global car rental brands in India. The entrepreneur in him saw an opportunity in working with the world's largest car rental brand, Hertz and in 2001 he set up Carzonrent (India) Private Limited with a team of likeminded professionals. The company was appointed Master Licensee for Hertz International in this region. A hands on professional in this segment he spearheaded the expansion of Hertz in India and in a short period of 4 years has taken the organization to the # 1 position in Car Rentals in India. He has done his graduation from Hindu College, he followed it up with Post Graduation in Management from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University.

-Rahul Anand, Founder, Happily Unmarried

The brainchild of Rahul Anand and his co-founder, both post-graduates from the prestigious Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, the idea came about with the duo wanting to be in every category that was dull and boring and inject in it a does of irreverence and fun. Explain the founders “Happily Unmarried is in the business of selling fun, we design products andservices which make people happy and have sold more than 1.5 lakh SKUs so that is the amount of happiness we have generated.” Currently retailing online and stores in all the major cities of the country, the partners firmly believe that their product offering, the product and packaging design and the brand philosophy is what differentiates them from others in the same category if any at all.

- Sanjay Bhasin, Member, Indian Angel Network

Mr. Sanjay Bhasin is CEO – Tubes & Laminates Business at Essel Propack Ltd, Mumbai, India. Essel Propack is the largest specialty packaging company in the world manufacturing laminated and extruded plastic tubes. Prior to Essel Propack, Sanjay Bhasin was head of GSM and WCDMA Base Station business in Nokia Networks, Finland. In this capacity, he was responsible for P&L of this global business. Sanjay has deep understanding of running a high-technology product business at a global scale. Sanjay has also done a lot of work in the area of expanding reach of cellular telephony into rural areas and entrepreneurship based models around that for rural sector growth. He joined Nokia in India in 1995 at the very start of the cellular telephony revolution in India. Over the years Sanjay has had multiple roles in Nokia based in India, UK and Finland. Prior to Nokia, Sanjay lived in Santa Clara, USA and was working for Intel Corporation as Product Marketing Manager for Intel Pentium™ processor. Sanjay is a graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIT Roorkee (was University of Roorkee) and holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara.
