Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), IIFM is organizing a National level Entrepreneurship Summit and DAKSH-10 the Social Business Plan competition

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is a premier sectoral management Institute, which aims at carving out socially responsible managers. IIFM was established by the Government of India as an autonomous institute under Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF). IIFM has been entrusted with the role of transforming rural India by creating opportunities for the people in a sustainable environment.The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), IIFM is organizing a National levelEntrepreneurship Summit and DAKSH-10 the Social Business Plan competition on 13th November 2010. Summit will see the participation from well renowned personalities from the field of banking and development and Entrepreneurs discussing their path to success.

Last year Entrepreneurship Summit with the theme of ‘Inclusive Growth’ was organised on21st Nov, 2010 and Mr. Brij Mohan, Chairman, Access Development Services blessed the event being the Chief Guest. Other speakers at the summit were Mr. Paul Basil (CEO, Villgro), Mr. P.S. Sodhi (National Coordinator, UNDP SGF, CEE), Mr. Bharat Parekh (Senior Programme Officer, INBAR), Mr. Pradeep Ghosh (Director, OASIS), Mr. Rahul Bist (Co-founder, M2i consulting) and Mr. Ashish Kumar Gupta ( Founder Jeevika Livelihoods). The B-Plan competition received overwhelming response from all over India.

We are currently inviting entries for the Social B-Plan competition.

The participants can choose the area of their interests. Some of the suggested areas are:

Ø  Agribusiness

Ø  Clean/Green Energy

Ø  Eco-Tourism

Ø  Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Rural Development

Ø  Rural Enterprise Development

Ø  Marketing and Supply Chain management

Ø  Any idea which shows a societal perspective

 

Size of team: 1 or 2

Management graduates, Engineering graduates and start-ups are eligible to participate
