YourStory and CNBC-TV18 Young Turks came up with a path-breaking event concept aimed at social entrepreneurship some time ago. The event took a few months to prepare and we knocked at many doors for support. We were politely turned away. Within a short notice, it was Madura Microfinance that agreed to sponsor the event. Sociopreneurship India 2010 owes in no small measure to Dr. Tara Thiagarajan who, despite her not being in India, set the process in motion, ultimately culminating in David Appasamy, executive director, giving us the go ahead. We at YourStory sincerely thank Dr. Tara for making this possible.
Netsurf Communications has also agreed to support this event in its own way. We thank Sujit Jain, founder of this venture, for his support.
We take this opportunity to thank all our partners who helped us to put together this event and for making it possible with all their support.
We have been receiving messages from everyone alike including panelists, attendees, and others about the positive impact of the event. Without the participation of audience, we would not have been able to achieve this. A big thank you to all of you who made it to the event.
Your encouragement, in whatever form and capacity, is a great booster for our efforts in bringing to you such unique events. We assure you that we will continue to strive hard to keep up to your expectations.
