Google's shopping app finds it way into the iPhone
Wednesday February 02, 2011 , 1 min Read
After being available on Android phones for more than a year now, Google Shopper, the search giant's shopping app, is now also available for the iPhone as a free download in the App Store. Designed to be a "shopping assistant", Google Shopper allows users to find products, locate stores which sell these products, compare prices and even share information about bargains with friends. The app supports search using text, voice and bar code recognition.
Currently, the iPhone version of the app works only in UK and USA. Truth be told, we'd be very glad to see an Indian version of Google Shopper. Considering that the user base for smartphones is rapidly expanding and that shopping is our national pastime, it seems like a perfect fit. Do let us know your thoughts on this story.
