India Social Fund (ISF), a Social Venture Capital Fund launched

ISF will operate as Social Venture Capital Fund and will invest in Social businesses, that have a very high social impact. The mandate includes investing in companies that uplift life of people below the line and those scientists whose technologies impact the living environment in general, especially in India.
The operations of the fund will involve the following -
Investing : INR 10 – 100 Lacs per company (Co-investment possible)
Centre of Excellence for Start-up Incubation and Execution; and an Ideation Centre
Thus, ISF will provide the necessary support ecosystem to the SME and Start-up Ventures who want to do good to the society at large and make an effective impact on uplifting lives of underprivileged people in India.
