Our core service is a complete Internet Marketing Services for a Business.
Toputop identified App Marketing is growing up day by day, we are the first one to start this service in India and successfully promoted new Apps.
Tell us a little bit about your background.
I am Kiran Voleti , I have completed my Graduation in Electronics & Communication Engineering from JNTU.I have worked in a software company for six months and quit my job and started my own creative website dotndot.com with my pocket money (2k) with having interest in creative side.
Key to Growth: Started promoting my website through online in this process, we learned SEO and other internet marketing techniques. By using our own internet marketing approach we got few good clients from USA,UK then we thought why can’t we start a separate website for complete marketing services and then we started toputop.com. From the day one we used to work with strategy and plan how to get clients Business into top positions in Google for selected business keywords.
Our motto is if our website is in top 5 we can get a business. If you type “Internet marketing Company” in any country specific Google our website will be at top 5.
For example in Google.com.my – 1st place
Like the above in almost any country we are in top 5 this gives a business to our company. This is not a just few days approach this is completely an effort of one and half year day and nights.
Since how long have you been operational? What is the size of the team?
We are operational since 2008. It is the starting stage of the rescission period. Even though it is rescission period we never look back. We worked with continuous efforts to set up the stage.
My team size is just 5 members all are hard working guys. We are planning to increase the team size in coming days.
Who are your customers? Please share a few success stories of your clients.
Our primary market is USA, UK initially, now our concentration is on clients originate in China, Hong Kong. We provided the SEO services to one of the China manufacturing company almost all the keywords are in 1st place and they improved the business in a short span of time. With the reference for this success we got new china clients and this number is growing day by day. Still exploring our level best to grab new clients all over the world.
Due to some security reasons and terms and conditions we are unable to revile the client names.
Now toputop is not depends completely on clients but taking a step ahead into current technology we are running few latest technology blogs which are having huge traffic right now. We always monitor the upcoming trends in the market and we will start a service to accommodate for the same.
What is your revenue model? How is the service priced?
Frankly speaking from 2008 onwards we haven’t think about the revenue. We only think about building a brand name first. Service price will depends on the client business and the service which they opted.
What are the biggest challenges you faced while starting up?
Initially we are lack of knowledge on the trends and the business, so we approached some local clients with our creative ideas but in that way we got revenue loss because of no. of iterations.
We stopped the services for some time and concentrate on web and marketing trends and we changed the strategy and make our efforts to make a mark in global world.
Did you fundraise while starting up?
No. Started with very small investment for only website. As we are interested in creative design completely concentrated on designing a good website for toputop. For designing toputop website we have taken nearly two months efforts but this effort is not wasted.
Consultancies have their own limitations, how do you differentiate yourself from your competitors? What is your competitive advantage?
We are providing a mix of three core services to the clients.
Creative Services (dotndot), Internet Marketing Services (toputop) & Social Media Monitoring Services (logicbowl).All are under a single roof.
If we got a new client they don’t want to approach three different agencies to build a brand we are provide all the three services.
We are always working on latest technologies like iPhone,iPad,Android , CCS3,HTML5 .If a new technology introduced in the market we will start exploring it and we will try implement it for the clients. This will differentiate from rest of the competitors.
How do you market your services?
In the initially stages we used to travel all around Hyderabad to get the new business by spreading the word. But we realized that Internet is the best source to spread the word and started promotion of our business only through Internet marketing techniques. We have no marketing team we are completely depend up social media websites like Youtube, Twitter & Facebook.
What are the specific challenges that consultancies face?
Retaining the client with trust for long time is challenge…that we do with our inner skills.
Where are you based? Do you have any plans to hire?
We are based in Hyderabad. We started the business in a small room with three people and we are trying to expand further.
As a serial entrepreneur, what advice do you want to give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Always stay focused with current technology and trends and plan your business according to the current trends. If you got a new idea now, start implementing it in next minute itself.
