Sramana Mitra, founder of 1M/1M initiative that seeks to help each of 1 million entrepreneurs globally reach 1 million in revenues by 2020, is delivering the keynote address at TiE Chennai’s Startup Super Day on April 9, 2011. Later in the afternoon, she would listen to pitches from entrepreneurs and give them strategy advice—a live roundtable that she does virtually every week. Conceived by Dorai Thodla (founder, iMorph), who has created a Special Interest Group (SIG) on startups in TiE Chennai, the Super Day promises to be grand event for startup entrepreneurs and would be in an unconference format. The event aims to bring together entrepreneurs, ecosystem players, investors, and other startup-related people under one roof to discuss topics of their choice, instead of chalking out an agenda beforehand. If you are a startup entrepreneur, it is a must-attend event for you. Mark your calendars and block your time on April 9th between 11 am and 6 pm for the Startup Super Day.
Announcing the event, Lakshmi Narayanan, President of TiE Chennai and Vice Chairman of Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), said: “We are thrilled to have Sramana lead the keynote and the strategy roundtable at Startup Super Day. Her successful 1M/1M program is sure to be of great help for entrepreneurs who are looking to scale. The day is a key element of our outreach to actively engage aspiring and budding entrepreneurs through educational, mentoring and networking activities specially focused on their entrepreneurial needs. I would like to congratulate Dorai Thodia, who leads the Start-up Special Interest Group (SIG) and his team who have put together this innovative and unique program which will immensely benefit attending entrepreneurs.”
Sramana Mitra is thrilled on her Chennai visit, and said: “I would like to thank TiE Chennai for providing the platform where I would be interacting with entrepreneurs in Chennai and also members of the ecosystem in Chennai. I would be speaking on how the entrepreneurs here can use the 1M/1M program to become successful. I am also looking forward to listening and understanding unique nuances of the ecosystem here and take learnings which will enrich this successful global program further.”
