So, Ankur, give us your elevator pitch about the business idea behind Infozech Software.
Infozech enables the telecom industry worldwide to optimise cost/manage revenue through innovative product and services. Infozech was started to address the market’s need for a good customer billing and rating solution.
It’s different from other billing & settlement software, as we provide the fastest transaction processing engine in the world. This dramatically increases efficiencies and reduces time to deliver.
We also understand that you have some massive numbers to share.
We have provided our solutions to over 70 customers in over 25 countries. This includes some tier 1 telcos, who use our solution to process over a billion transactions a day as well as emerging startups trying to create disruptive business models.
To be a little more specific, we are processing over 2 billion transactions every day with over 200 million peak hour transactions. Currently, we are touching over 100 million end users.
You’re one of the forerunners of this space. Where do you see the transaction processing solutions industry and Infozech Software five years from now?
With new technologies such as 3G and LTE, the numbers of transactions are growing exponentially. The number of data transactions will be several times more than those of voice. At the same time, there is constant erosion of price per transaction and the ARPUs are decreasing rapidly. The value provided by these transactions cannot be easily measured in bits or bytes.
This necessitates the ability to efficiently manage and price billions of complex transactions in real time and derive analytics. Customers need an intelligent advisor to enterprises, to deal with constant change and new business models.
Infozech software is focussed on being a leader in transaction management and providing customers the best option for managing revenues and optimising costs.
What’s your revenue model? And what about funding?
Our revenue model is an annuity (recurring) model, where we charge the customers based on outcome (% of savings) or based on efficiencies created. For our mobile – cloud business, we have not received funding. Currently, we are self-sustaining. However, going forward, we will need growth capital.
What’s your biggest challenge?
It’s a broad concern. But the biggest challenge is to maintain focus of consistently providing the highest quality of service to our stakeholders, amidst an overall environment of rapid change, turbulence and noise.
How big is the Infozech Software team? Are you looking at hiring?
We have about 80 people, with extensive experience in the different segments of the mobile and telecom industry. We are constantly looking for smart people with a zest for innovation, customer engagement and bringing disruption through mashup of new technologies.
Infozech does strategic employee development by nurturing learning and talent to achieve extra-ordinary results. This provides growth opportunities for both the employee and the organisation.
What’s next for Infozech?
We are looking to expand the scope of our offering to large enterprise customers in India. We are exploring the idea of creating a service to help enterprises and telcos manage telecom costs better and provide analytics. We are also looking to strengthen our presence in certain International target markets.
We at YourStory wish Ankur and the entire team at Infozech much success. To know more, check out http://www.infozech.com/. Also, do share with us your views on this story by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
