The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Karnataka is organizing a Conference on Mergers and Acquisitions: Growth and Value Creation through M&A on 27 May 2011 at 0930 - 1315 Hrs at Hotel Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore. The conference will conclude with Lunch.
2010 was a big year of cross-border Acquisitions for India which rose to a record of $59.2 billion. The overall M&A activity for India was $71 billion of deals in 2010. For 2011, M&A value in India soared to $ 18.3 billion for the first quarter of the calender year with energy, insurance and IT sectors accounting for the most of amount.
Going forward, India and China are expected to be the most acquisitive buyers as attractive valuations and domestic competition is driving the deals globally and there is lot of opportunity for Indian corporates in M&A space which may surpass the previous year record.
As Indian companies are spreading their wings in the global market they need to keep abreast of global trends, latest regulatory developments cultural and political issues faced while adopting a more global outlook, International regulatory hurdles and strategies for successful post merger integration involving M&A deals.
