BlackBerry Playbook launched in India today

The tablet race is at full throttle. The much awaited BlackBerry Playbook has finally arrived today. It is priced at Rs 32,000(16GB). Manufactured by Research In Motion (RIM), is a strong rival to Apple’s iPad. It got released on April 19th this year, in the US. The company hoped to conquer hearts of its customers during its release. With no buttons in the front, it looks more or less like a notebook with a firm body. The interface reminds us of the Palm OS whereas the menu is of BlackBerry genre. The UI is rejuvenating, organized and non-rational. Touch screen experience is easy going and user friendly. The BlackBerry tablet OS, is software made by "QNX technology". QNX is a software company, which RIM bought in April, whose software is used in products by Cisco and GE, among others. The OS is built on QNX's Neutrino micro-kernel.
