Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Chairman of Selectors, Indian Cricket Team, to open NASSCOM EMERGEOUT Conclave Chennai on June 7, 2011

In his heyday, the swashbuckling opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth used to enthrall fans with his unconventional hits to the fence. In a memorable innings in Chepauk (The M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai), he carved 123 against the pace attack of Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, and the like, who had no answers or a field to his shots. In his innings as Chairman of Selectors, Indian Cricket Team, he has played a glorious innings that saw India emerge as T20 champions in its inagural edition and now the World Champions in 2011. If Mahendra Singh Dhoni is his find as a selector, he had that hand in Sachin Tendulkar’s debut too. Sachin played for India first under his captaincy.

He now runs Careers.com, a Web startup and is opening the NASSCOM EMERGEOUT Conclave Chennai on June 7, 2011 as a keynote speaker. He will expand upon “Building Leadership for the Next Generation IT Innovative Companies.”

Then a series of panel discussion follow on Cricket Frenzy due to IT Innovation featuring Sports Mechanics founder Ramky and CEO of Kolkata Knight Riders Venky. The Mobile Stories from the Field discussion would have Sanjay Vijayakumar, who start MobME dropping out of his college. The Cloud discussion will feature an impressive list of executives from Microsoft and Net Magic Solutions. The Xpress Pitch, an opporutnity to tell product stories, will be hosted by Duleep Mahadevan in a parallel session.

Software procurement from the perspective of end users involving Tirupur Exporters Association’s Sanjay Gupta and a parallel IT Buying Strategies involving big corporate honchos will come up next. SaaS and Ready-t0-Use SaaS applications will be showcased by 8 preselected companies. A special address by one of the founder members of NASSCOM and founder of Future Software, Mr. K. V. Ramani, and a wrap-up by Suresh Sambandam, CEO, OrangeScape will bring to an end a glorious EMERGEOUT day.
