The theme of his address will be “The Making of a Successful Indian Enterprise – The Micromax Story”, where he is expected to touch upon the various aspects of the handset maker’s journey to the top. Vikas will also be a member of the jury evaluating the TechSparks Pitches, where the 20 most innovative product tech startups being built out of India will be showcased and honoured.Vikas Jain serves as Business Director and Promoter of Micromax Informatics Limited. He has over 14 years experience in international business and planning and the information technology sector. He has previously served with Daewoo Motors engineer (QC approval) and GE Motors as a co-op student. He holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia University. In his address at Grand Finale of TechSparks™2011, he will recount incidents from Micromax’s path to wide-spread adoption.
The Grand Finale of TechSparks™ 2011 is the culmination of the nation-wide hunt to find the best product tech companies of India. Scheduled to happen on Friday, 19th of August 2011 at IIM Bangalore, the TechSparks™ Grand Finale will be a gala event with top technology corporates, leading investors (VCs & angels), national media and delegates from US, Europe and China expected to be in attendance.
In addition to the showcase of the top 20 product tech companies and the top 10 apps (in an initiative called App4India), the TechSparks™ Grand Finale will also feature the unveiling of the “Tech30” report, India’s first benchmarking document bringing to the spotlight the 30 product technology startups that India needs to watch out for, with the stamp of approval from VCs and technology giants.The Tech30 Report will also be unveiled by Vikas, with copies of the report to be distributed to all the delegates attending the TechSparks™ Grand Finale. The report will also be shared with the decision-makers across the technology industry & the investment community.
