VMware targets Gujarat with the Cloud
Opens office in Ahmedabad to address the growing demand for cloud based solutionsMumbai, India – February 13, 2012: VMware, Inc. VMware has already signed on a significant number of customers in the region and expects to grow this number with a formal presence in Gujarat.

Cloud Computing in Asia Pacific: The Annual Cloud Maturity Index, a VMware commissioned survey conducted by Forrester Consulting in the region in October last year, revealed that 91% of organizations surveyed in India consider cloud relevant to their businesses. India leads the region in terms of perceived cloud relevance alongside Japan, China, Malaysia and Thailand at 90%. The study found that Indian companies are accelerating their adoption of cloud computing, with 77% indicating that they would do so in the next six to 18 months.
