It’s been close to a year since Haritash Tamvada launched warrantify.com along with the core team comprising of Petri Lahdelma, Sebastian Maki, Rushil Dave and Timo Kulmala. The service has come a long way and recently launched the Android app at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona and on March 12th, launched the iPhone app.What is Warrantify?
Warrantify is a paperless, one-stop-shop where retailers and consumers easily manage warranties and receipts.
One can even browse accessories related to the product along with keeping a track of all the warranties.
Warrantify plans to open up revenue streams retailer licensing fee, accessories and extended warranties in the future.
The Motive: Haritash and team call it 'a movement'; a movement to save trees and protect the environment. Warrantify was primarily developed to do away with all the paper-based warranties and documents. There are two pain-points warrantify looks to solve in the longer run:
- Better ways for a user to store, manage and keep track of all the documents that are currently paper-based
- To completely overhaul the warranty and receipt management system for the retailer
