Hatch Launches a ‘Nest for Startups’ in BusiNest, Mumbai

In an expensive city like Mumbai, space is always at a premium. Young entrepreneurs who start with shoe string budgets can’t afford to pay big bucks for renting an office space. Starting a new enterprise from home is an option, but it is a short-lived one as it does not provide the atmospherics and the ambience that are conducive for official work.

BusiNest is an incubation service launched on the 1st of April, 2012, in Mumbai by Hatch Business Incubation Services LLP. BusiNest aims to combine everything that a young entrepreneur wants but cannot afford to pay for, commercially. Primarily, it makes available a small office space that young entrepreneurs (incubatees) of Hatch can share and use for a limited period of time to start their venture. “We provide desk space, an address for correspondence and a place to begin actualizing the plans and promise of young enterprises,” says Sudarshan Narayan, Founding Partner, Hatch Business Incubation Services LLP.

Along with the office space comes a resident mentor, who guides young entrepreneurs and provides inputs on the business plan, legal and compliance issues, finance, marketing and communication.

Hatch has a variety of service providers in IT, Legal & Secretarial, Accounting & Audit, HR and Technology that can be availed by the entrepreneurs. “Being long term in thinking, these chosen service partners will aim to provide top notch support at costs that start ups will find affordable,” says Sudarshan.

BusiNest’s first occupant is a start up called Izna Systems Private Limited (brand name, IZZI Deals) – in the mobile coupon space. IZZI Deals is a mobile-couponing service which allows buyers to get SMS coupons for great deals on a variety of businesses with no upfront payment. IZZI Deals endeavours to be the easiest-to-use and wide-reaching mobile coupon platform in India.
