How Are You Celebrating the World Music Day? Do it the Croak.it! Way
croak.it! launched on the 25th of May, 2012, following which they've noticed an increasing number of people looking at their product and the response has been incredible. Over the last couple of weeks, Croak.it! has seen traffic from 110 countries and generated over 20,000 croaks.Croak.it! has a straightforward value proposition- push, speak share. It allows you to use your voice everywhere by recording snippets of what you want to be used on the web. The recording gets converted into a link which can be used anywhere.
Founded by two young IIT Kharagpur graduates, Protik Roychowdhury and Srinivasa Teja, Croak.it is all about Voice without any boundaries. "When we saw that World Music Day was just around the corner, we wanted to ensure that we celebrate it to the fullest, around the world, without borders," they said.
The proposition is simple - Music touches everyone’s lives very deeply. So - on World Music Day, which is on June 21st, Croak.it! is asking people from all over the world to celebrate the essence of music by taking just 30 seconds from their daily lives to contribute to a one-of-a-kind music stream on Twitter (something we don’t think has ever been done before!).
1. Go on to Croak.it (or use the iOS/Android App) to record up to 30 seconds of their music (a rhythm, a beat, a melody, a tribute to their favorite artist, a happy song, a sad song, a rap or however they define their music!)
2. Share their sound through twitter with “#24hoursofmusic” added to the end of their tweet.
3. Search for “#24hoursofmusic” to listen to people celebrating World Music Day in their own ways from all over the world!
