"We at HCL believe in the power of internet and there is a lot of amazing content which is available on open source websites. These are very good sources of reference material for pre-post reading/concept explanation. But these videos are not enough for the delivery of the knowledge." read the announcement.

Learnoncloud.net is an initiative to ensure that student get access to good content online free for basic courses. Learning by doing is the best way to hone individual’s IT skills and this is what HCL is banking on. The Virtual labs and assessments provided in the course will attempt to help the students to learn and practice the concepts. Collaboration features like discussion forums, webinars and ‘ask a mentor’ allows the students to learn online. The platform also provides job feeds to the student to help them find the right job once they have completed the course.

Students would also have an option to additionally subscribe for services like mentoring, certification etc. The platform is currently in the BETA phase but having created quality educational content for a wide range of target audiences in the past, one can expect the same from HCL.
