Qualcomm Awards US$100,000 in Venture Financing to Deck App Technologies, Winner of the QPrize 2012 India Regional Round

Qualcomm Incorporated, through its venture capital arm Qualcomm Ventures, today announced the India finalist in its international Qualcomm Ventures QPrize™ 2012 venture investment competition. Deck App Technologies, based in Bangalore, will receive US$100,000 in venture financing from Qualcomm to expand its business. The company was selected based on its product innovation and the strength of its management team. The victory enables Deck App Technologies to move forward in the competition and compete against other regional champions for an additional US$150,000 in venture financing in the QPrize Global Grand Prize competition, taking place in the first quarter of 2013 in San Francisco.

Deck App Technologies offer products to create compelling and memorable presentations on any device in the easiest way.

 

The second prize winner of the competition Uberlabs, a company that provides Social CRM solutions for images and videos, will receive US$25,000 from Microsoft Corp. In addition, the other six companies that were shortlisted in the finals of QPrize India 2012 have been invited to Microsoft BizSpark Plus program.
