First Batch of GSF Accelerator Will Present to Over 400 Investors From Across the Globe

First Batch of GSF Accelerator Will Present to Over 400 Investors From Across the Globe

Saturday November 24, 2012 , 3 min Read

Founded by Rajesh Sawhney, GSF Accelerator is the first multi-city accelerator in India which was launched a couple of months ago and has been in the news ever since. With some of the most powerful names in the startup ecosystem behind it, GSF Accelerator has generated a lot of buzz and in an announcement today, is now ready for the Demo Day (Forum) on November 26th.

In a 2 day event, on November 26 and 27, 15 selected companies that have been undergoing some rigorous 'acceleration' will be presenting to more than 400 investors from across the globe according to the announcement by GSF.

What’s the back drop to the story?

Over the course of the last few weeks, these founders have worked with over 250 mentors across India as well as 17 entrepreneurs in residence, building their companies in preparation for the forum on November 26-27. GSF entrepreneurs in residence come from a variety of backgrounds and devote their time to the success of these teams, as well as to the careful selection of an additional 20 startups from across India. Support from GSF allows startups access to a differentiated network, strategic guidance and the opportunity to present at Seedcamp in Paris directly following the conference. Drawing investors and founders from around the world, the GSF initiative represents a new level of support for Indian startups: It is the only conference in the world where for every startup there are ten investors present. It is also the first time that Western partners like Seedcamp and 500 Startups have officially partnered with an Indian conference initiative.

The stellar agenda for the two days is also jam packed with some of the biggest names in the industry and interest piquing topics for discussion. Here is how the event is described:

4 keynote addresses, 6 power-packed panels, Global roundups by leading superangels, 4 Pitch sessions by 40 startups, 3 Master classes, Surprise entertainment, Networking sessions, Drinks and Fireside chat, Gala dinner, and lots of fun

With unmatched clout in India, GSF has certainly been able to generate a lot of curiosity and all eyes will be on them, come November 26th. Only time will tell how well the startups have been accelerated and what kind of a quantum leap they'd able to achieve, but the start is exciting, to say the least.

The event is largely 'invite-only' but online registration is also available for which one will have to shell out a considerable amount of money. We've been bringing you the best from GSF startup founders via a blog series and will continue to do so. We also got in conversation with EiRs in Bangalore and will be in Delhi for the forum to bring you the happenings. Stay tuned!
