M.R. Rangaswami co-founded Sand Hill Group LLC, and has been a strategic advisor to many fast-growing companies. He has held global VP marketing positions at Baan Company, Avalon Software, and Oracle Corporation. M.R. was profiled on the front page of the Wall Street Journal and has been named in Forbes’ “Midas 100 List” as one of the most influential investors in technology.

Here, YourStory TV catches up with M. R. Rangaswami at the NASSCOM Product Conclave in Bangalore to learn about his views. "The Indian Tech Product Ecosystem has finally arrived," begins Mr. M.R.Rangaswami and goes on to say some very encouraging things about the Indian Tech Product ecosystem. He also accentuated into the dire need of introducing innovation in sales and marketing of gen-next products. “When you talk to companies today, you still hear them talking about their products’ features. Whereas I think, the customer wants to hear the benefits and the customer wants a clear value proposition. And, that’s the change that needs to happen to take the Indian product Industry to the next stage.”

He talks about entrepreneurship in general and on a concluding note, he stressed on the need of leveraging the power of cloud and mobile sectors. He said that the importance of cloud is in the fact that it is cheaper than the current hardwares and softwares, and there are 900 Million cellphones in the market.
