Mumbai Angels Invests in Cloud Startup Maximojo Software

Maximojo Software Pvt Ltd has completed its initial round of funding, by Mumbai Angels, one of the leading Angel Networks in India.Maximojo focuses on delivering cloud-based distribution & revenue management solutions for hotels. Its vision is to get a large part of the 80,000 or more hotel & lodging establishments in India onto the Online Travel Agency(OTA)Grid.

Besides extending their sales network within India, Maximojo has recently expanded their Marketing / Sales to Europe. Maximojo is also poised to expand their product offerings to include next generation Analytics and Yield Management tools for hotels to enhance revenue and profitability.

Sudhir Mody, Founder, Maximojo says “We are extremely excited to have completed this round of funding by the MA investor group (which included some prominent hoteliers). The Maximojo business model and Mantras® product offering has now been validated by both customer hotels and investors.”

Mumbai Angels led this round of funding. Jai Advani, an accomplished hotelier with multiple properties, will join the Board of Maximojo. He says, "Hotels which until now, have found it difficult to manage on- line room sales using complicated and expensive tools, can use the Maximojo Mantras' ecosystem to contract with on line travel agents, then through their platform manage their online inventory and rates real time. Economy and ease of use, valuable analytics and a 24/7/365 call centre will ensure Maximojo of a lion's share in this expanding market. With global travel e-Commerce growing rapidly through mobile and tablet usage, this inexpensive game changer for any hotel is a no brainer."

Ashpi Gupta, who led this round from Mumbai Angels, quoted “The investment rationale for us was the ease of offerings by Maximojo to untapped market and extremely positive reviews from hoteliers using the product and the growing size of the market. Due to lack of availability of quality solution at reasonable price and skilled resources, very few hotels are on the OTA grid.”
