Bizpunditz is creating a video library of Indian business leaders to spread Punditry
Bizpunditz's team is a good mix of youth and experience, and technology & content skill sets. Divyesh Kharade is the Director, Technology and Anita Bhogle, who runs a management consultancy firm Prosearch with her husband Harsha Bhogle, is the Director, Content.
"By combining Anita’s training expertise and the technical abilities of Divyesh’s team, we were able to create a unique combination of platform and content i.e. Bizpunditz. There are few platform providers and several content providers, but by combining the two and bringing top business leaders on board, we have created a different offering," adds Rahul Chidgopkar, Business Development Manager, Bizpunditz.
Currently, the Bizpunditz library has top notch individuals, or "Punditz" as the firm would like to call them: Abhijit Bhaduri, CLO, Wipro Group, D Shivakumar, MD, Nokia India, Tiger Tyagarajan, CEO, Genpact, etc. These individuals have 3-10 mins videos on topics that are categorised into segments like Leadership, Innovation, Strategy, etc. Users can subscribe to these videos through mobile apps on iOS, Android and Blackberry platforms. "We believe that lot of professionals are interested in listening to leaders for career development, and hence have also recently started our introductory individual subscription plan for Rs. 1500 per year," adds Rahul.
In the enterprise market, Bizpunditz operates on a per-user-license model. Apart from the content, analytics, white-labeling, content management console, campaign/schedule based delivery of learning to upload other content, etc are offered. The firm uses a freemium model for its B2C model.
A niche field in its offerings, Bizpunditz has set optimistic goals. Rahul shares that, "We want to expand in the enterprise market. Our target is to acquire at least 20 enterprise customers by March 2013. Currently, our library is 150 videos strong and growing at about 10-15 videos per month.”
All said, Bizpunditz has its share of challenges. The team is putting a lot of hard work on a mix of direct sales and referrals to optimise the process, and is working on a desktop version to support classroom training initiatives.
