Health 2.0 Conference: An Exploration Of 21st Century Healthcare
The healthcare space in India is vast and exciting, ripe with potential, and yet plagued by challenges and inefficiencies. Investor capital is being poured into the space while budding entrepreneurs across the country are coming up with new innovations, using creativity and technology to expand the reach and affordability of health services to the population of 1.2 billion.Yet even with the ingredients of a thriving healthcare sector, it is important to ask: are these ingredients properly being utilized to address the industry’s needs and challenges? Is the capital finding its way into the hands of the game-changing entrepreneurs? How can we work together to build an ecosystem that allows these companies to proliferate their solutions and maximize their impact?
On February 9th, industry experts, physicians, patients, entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, and government officials will gather in Bangalore to discuss these questions and more at Health 2.0 India. The conference will take place all day next Saturday at the CMR Institute of Technology in Whitefield. Based on the theme of “Health 2.0 Everywhere!” the event will feature panel discussions, product demonstrations, and keynote speakers, which will explore the emergence of tech-based solutions in healthcare and how it is reshaping the entire healthcare space.
“A rising class of young start-ups has positioned 2013 to be a breakthrough year for digital health in India,” said James Mathews, Chairman of Health 2.0 India. “Mobile, Cloud, Devices and Data are transforming how we solve some of the most complex challenges in health care.”
The event will give attendees the chance to interact with industry leaders from IDEO, Novartis, Cisco, Google, Microsoft, Government of India, McCann Worldwide, Aravind Eye Institute, United Healthcare, Cloud Nine Hospital, mDhil, Biosense, MediAngels, GSF Accelerator, Unitus Seed Fund, Medtronic, Bristol-Myers Squib, World Health Organization, Start-Up Village, Welvu, Zanec and more.
On the conference, Mathews commented, “Health 2.0 India is the only event that dares to bring together the brightest entrepreneurs, the seasoned established stakeholders and the most passionate social entrepreneurs to advance the future of the health tech ecosystem.”
