Masters of Social Entrepreneurship programme, affiliated to Karnataka University

The Deshpande Foundation and Deshpande Educational Trust has recently announced their second batch of Masters of Social Entrepreneurship (MSE) programme, affiliated to the Karnataka University.
The Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship (DCSE), which is hosting MSE, aims to demystify social entrepreneurship and the two year residential programme is designed from a practitioner’s perspective. DCSE has been a breeding ground of several start-ups, an international network of enterprises and has concrete partnerships with over 100 for profits and not-for profits, who all are engaged in solving social issues with an entrepreneurial mindset.
The programme is packaged with 25 different courses that blend cutting edge, practical experience with personal mentorship with entrepreneurs.

The DCSE campus provides fully equipped classrooms featuring audio and video facilities and WIFI. The center also has additional facilities such as an incubation space, auditorium, digital lab, seminar hall and a robust library containing books, magazines, journals and contemporary digital content. DCSE also has an Entrepreneur in Residence programme, where MSE students are joined by several start-ups in developing an idea into an impact.
Among their first batch of students, 50% had started student ventures and several students got the opportunity of paid internships, within and outside India.
The eligibility to join the MSE programme is a graduate degree in any field.
