Participants learnt about nuances of social entrepreneurship, approaches to community based development and were sensitized to the needs of social enterprises. 35 organisations participated in the workshop among them being pioneering organisations such as Cognizant Technology Services, Biocon Foundation, Kudumbshree, Gandhigram Trust and innovative social enterprises such as Cosmos Green, Greenway Grameen, Logistimo and Karabi Software among others.

Stefanie Bauer from GIZ said, “This workshop is an important milestone on our journey towards a supportive eco-system for start-ups and a network of support institutions that can strengthen social enterprises across the country. Collaboration between incubators, NGOs, and the corporate sector is needed to bring about innovation that can create change.”
