Prisma Global Ltd acquires Germany based image recognition firm Prisma Gmbh

Prisma Global Limited, a global information technology solutions company has acquired Prisma Gmbh a 33 year old German company which specializes in Image recognition, augmented reality, health, security, business intelligence services, mobile solutions as well as enterprise content and management systems.Prisma Gmbh deals in requirements and processes for Image Recognition (IR) and Augmented Reality (AR). According to a press statement, Prisma Global Limited acquired 51% major stake holding in Prisma GmbH. Post acquisition Prisma Global Limited now owns the IP and the innovative technology like Snap2life and MediBox including other product and services.

Speaking about acquisition, Shreeram Iyer, Chairman and Group CEO of Prisma Global Limited said, “I am extremely satisfied by this acquisition which fits perfectly with our vision of providing most innovative technology in India. The core expertise of Prisma Gmbh along with some of the path breaking products will make us first among equals”.

Recently Mumbai based english daily dna launched an augmented reality application ‘DNAIt’ on iOS and Android platforms with partnership with by Prisma Global Limited, the app is powered by snap2life image recognition software and using the search algorithm and crawlers of snap2life. The app has multimedia features including video playback, audio transcripts, image galleries, related web articles , augmented reality etc.
