“The best way to predict the future is to build one.”
If you believe that you are the next change-maker, you believe in creation and that action speaks more than words, then Ideathon, a 30-hour idea-to-prototype event is just the right place for you!
Ideathon is one of the major events of ATMOS – the national techno-management fest of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus. Ideathon serves as an ideal platform for developers, designers and business development people to come together, pitch an idea, team up and launch a business in 30 hours.
ATMOS has many resources for the participants this year, from technical aid, startup tips, mentorship and guidance from highly-acclaimed entrepreneurs to pre-seed funding opportunities.
This two-day event commences on 12th October. On the first day, the participants will be required to pitch in their startup idea. Based on these ideas, the one with high votes will advance to form a well-rounded team and then the race begins!
The teams brainstorm, validate their idea, get customer feedback, interact with mentors and build a sustainable and scalable business around that idea. The competition culminates with the teams demonstrating their prototype to an elite panel of C-level executives and venture capitalists on the 13th October.
The participants will also have the leverage of interacting and gaining valuable mentorship from a diverse set of industry experts and seasoned entrepreneurs like Venkat Veeramachaneni (Founder & CEO, Aavaaz), Gokul Nath Sridhar (Founder & CEO, Likewyss), Subhash Achanta (Co-Founder at Thinksource Consulting and ForStartup), Kiran Chowdary (Founder, Carrot Mobile), Ramesh Loganathan (VP Products and Center Head, Progress Software) and many more!
Arpit Mohan, Co-Founder & CTO of GHARPAY (2011-13), CTO CLINK (Present) will join us on the 12th at 2:30 pm to share his entrepreneurial journey and inspire the fellow participants.
The top two startups will receive technical consultancy from inc42, will also get a mentorship and will be exposed to seed funding opportunities from Technology Business Incubator of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus for three months.
Prizes worth Rs 40,000 and an award for the most disruptive idea is also up for grabs! Startups will be mentoring the teams with the most disruptive ideas (Mobile & Web) and help in building a go-to-market strategy, besides giving goodies like books.
So, if you are an aspiring entrepreneur looking to connect with angel investors, or a developer who wants to build The Next Big Thing, or just someone who wants to learn a skill far outside your usual 9-to-5 rigmarole, go ahead and register for Ideathon.
