Research shows that playing games helps enhance motor skills and decision making. With the advent of smartphones, gaming has shifted from consoles and PCs to smartphones now. Among the plethora of games available on both Android and iOS, Parking Evolution 3D a ‘Made in India’ game caught our eye.
What is it about?
As the name suggests, Parking Evolution 3D is a casual 3D car parking game with realistic in-game physics. The game consists of two modes where users can either race or try to beat the clock or put their parking skills to the test and park their vehicles in a variety of obstacle courses with different vehicles.
The team behind it
Founded in September 2011, underDOGS Gaming Studio is one of India's most lean mobile game development and publishing company operating out of 36 sqft space with four guys having developed more than 75 games on mobile, tablets and online platforms across the globe.
With expertise in Unity 3D, the company exists on major platforms like Android, iOS, Windows, Amazon and Blackberry.
With over seven years of experience working across gaming industry right from idea generation to Go-live, Vaibhav exudes compelling passion towards game making. While heading the company, he looks after the overall game production, business development and day to day management of the company. Under his able leadership, the company and team have grown from garage to grandeur in a very short time.
Artists may create and develop specific part of an art piece or scene, but it takes foresight of an art director to connect the dots and deliver the overall visual impact, stimulate the mood and appeal to the target audience psychologically. Sankesh, while delivering this responsibility efficiently, makes sure the brainstormed ideas are converted into reality when the game goes live.
With the ability to convert trash into treasured art, Amit heads the creative division. Throw him most difficult concepts and you have the simplified visuals ready in the next moment. He can sit in front of a painting for hours and imagine a world out of it. He has proficiency in graphic designing, artwork and concept development.
A high potential team is incomplete without having a Nerd on board, is a common belief. Even though he is the youngest member of the team, Abhishek takes the responsibility of adding life in terms of motion to the whole game. As the tech lead for gaming, this chess lover knows how to checkmate the bugs and program the game so that it functions to its fullest potential.

Pros and Cons
As claimed, the game delivers a really good experience when it comes to the in-game UI and physics. The steering wheel and other controls are very responsive and the levels are challenging.
Unlike most other racing and parking games, ParkingEvolution 3D has many in-game tweaks that make it more enjoyable and challenging. For example, in some levels there are crates and drums placed in the back of the different vehicles and the user has to ensure that they do not topple out of the vehicle as he or she navigates the various turns, speed breakers and other obstacles.
On the design front, the game has simple but elegant design and layout. Users will be able to appreciate the attention to detail and also the ability to tweak and modify settings as per requirement. For example, the user can choose three different viewing modes such as the Dashcam view, far out view and a close up rear-end view. Also users can keep an eye on their rear view mirrors at all times.
The only disadvantage I faced after about two hours of gaming was that the in-game music though relevant and suited the mood at first became repetitive and boring after a certain period of time.
On the whole, this ‘Made in India’ app provided an engaging and exciting gaming experience and hours of fun, a definite must try for all the casual and hard-core gaming fans out there.
